What is Breathing Exercise?

This guided breathing tool runs locally in your browser with four modes: box breathing (inhale 4s, hold 4s, exhale 4s, hold 4s); 4-7-8 breathing (inhale 4s, hold 7s, exhale 8s); calm breathing (inhale 4s, exhale 4s); and the physiological sigh (inhale 2s, sip 1s, long exhale 4s). The circle grows while you inhale and shrinks while you exhale, and phase changes play cue tones (inhale 520Hz, exhale 392Hz, hold 440Hz) which you can mute. Completed rounds are counted, and the session auto-stops when the window loses focus. Everything runs locally — nothing is uploaded. Useful for stress relief, sleep support, and focus; consult a doctor before practice if you have high blood pressure or heart conditions.

What is a breathing exercise?

An online guided breathing-relaxation tool. Input: choose a breathing mode and press Start. Output: rhythm cues from an animated circle plus phase tones. Used for stress relief, sleep support, and focus. Everything runs locally in your browser — no uploads.

What breathing modes are available?

Four: box breathing (inhale 4s, hold 4s, exhale 4s, hold 4s); 4-7-8 breathing (inhale 4s, hold 7s, exhale 8s); calm breathing (inhale 4s, exhale 4s); and the physiological sigh (inhale 2s, sip 1s, long exhale 4s).

What are the cue tones?

Short tones play on phase changes: inhale 520Hz, exhale 392Hz, hold 440Hz. Mute them with the sound button.

How long should I practice?

Aim for 3-5 minutes per session (about 4-7 rounds of box breathing). The tool counts rounds and has no forced time limit.

What happens if I switch windows?

To avoid background drift, the session auto-stops when the window loses focus. Click Start again to resume.

Are there health risks?

If you have high blood pressure or heart conditions, consult a doctor before practicing. This tool is not a substitute for professional medical advice.

Does it need a network connection?

Once loaded, it works offline — no network is required and nothing is uploaded.
