What is a proxy checker?
An online tool that detects the IP address and proxy status of your current network egress. Input: click the check button. Output: IP, country, city, region, organization, timezone, and proxy/VPN flags. Used to verify a proxy or VPN is active.
How accurate are the results?
Results come from two public APIs: ipify.org for IP and ipapi.co for geolocation. Proxy/VPN flags rely on database recognition — highly accurate but not 100%.
Does it expose my real IP?
The tool shows your current egress IP. If you are connected through a proxy/VPN, it shows the proxy/VPN IP, not your local IP.
Can I check any IP?
The current version only checks your own network egress. It does not accept arbitrary IP input.
Is my information recorded?
Results are displayed in your browser only. The tool does not store your IP or location data.
Why does it show Unknown?
Some datacenter or newly allocated IP ranges have no record in the ipapi.co database and show Unknown. Retry later.
